About The Best H.E.L.P Book

Did you know that In recent years, women have run four of the five highest-profile charities in the UK and five of the 10 largest charities including the RSPCA, National Trust, Oxfam, NSPCC and Save the Children? Here's another interesting fact you might not have known, in 2007, aged only 22, Miss Kemi Folarin joined the order of social entrepreneurs founding the youth organisation, Young People Matter -by way of a 4-week summer project supported by a single funding bid. Today, Kemi's fledgeling project has blossomed into an award-winning, vibrant & colourful team of youth workers, sports enthusiasts, arts practitioners and advocates of a holistic approach to learning housed under her YPMCharity and Aspire to Elevate training centre banners.

We invite you to join Miss Folarin as she embarks on a journey crisscrossing the breadth of the people, services, and organisations; both statutory and voluntary, involved in working with children and young people. Where historic standards of practice are coloured in terms of black and white, Kemi succinctly lays bare the gray truths from the perspectives of those closest involved.

After successfully engaging children and young people in her local, South London area and across the nation, Kemi's literary venture, Young People Matter: The Best HELP Book aims to serve as a statement of support for parents, and those who work with children & young people, to work together more effectively, to guide and encourage children, and to continue being proactive in shaping their present and their futures.

The Best H.E.L.P. Book is the convergence of nearly 1860 years of work, research and co-operation by individuals, groups, and organisations. This book is a living embodiment of an old African Proverb: "It takes a village to raise a child."
