We all have things that we would like to achieve in life? Setting clear goals is one way of turning your dreams into a reality. For me, goals help to provide direction for my life, something that I am heading towards. Today’s tool is Goal Setting. We will explore your current goals if you have them already, set some goals for those who don’t and review or set some daily, weekly or month actions to take to aid you with achieving your goals.

“A man without a vision for his future will always return to the past.” – Unknown

We all have desires, so why not make your hearts desires your reality. What stops many people from achieving the things that they want out of life. Expectation. We get out of life what we expect. You only have to look at the results of your life to see what we were expecting. Today you will be looking at 1 goal and breaking it down. By the end of the 21 days, you would have worked on three goals and broken each goal down into manageable steps.

Time To Take Action

“Reduce your plan to writing…. The moment you complete this, you will have definitely given concrete form to the intangible desire.” – Napoleon Hill

Step 1 – A written plan will help you to go where you have planned to go. Think of 1 goal that you want to achieve under the following headings:

  1. Family

  2. Business/ Career

  3. Mental (Personal development)

  4. Financial

  5. Relationships

  6. Physical

  7. Spiritual

  8. Life style

When writing your goals there are a few helpful tips that can help you to set your mind for action. Instead of having a list of goals that you do nothing with, you want to take action to turn your dreams into a reality.

Tip 1 – Write your goals in a positive state, write what you want not what you don’t want. Using the words ‘I am’ sends your creative brain to work.

Tip 2– Make your goals SMART  S – Specific, M- Measurable, A – Attainable, R- Realistic, T- TimeGoal  Why How Time frameState clearly what you want? Why do you want this goal? The why will keep you going when you want to give up?Now time to break it down into manage steps? What steps will you take daily, weekly, monthly to achieve this goal.By when do you want to achieve your goal?
