“Visualize this thing that you want, see it, feel it, believe in it. Make your mental blue print, and begin to build.”

Robert Collier

day 6

Start to recreate in your mind the things that you desire, What’s that saying “Believing is seeing.” I prefer ‘believing is seeing’ rather than ‘seeing is believing’. Today’s Tool is Visualization techniques. Visualization is not only picturing images, but you can use your feelings and emotions when visualizing what we want, this adds a powerful element to our visualizations.

What is Visualization?

Visualization is often used to mentally rehearse an action or a desired goal. It’s based upon a thought or thoughts that are repeated over and over again in the conscious mind.

“Visualize this thing that you want, see it, feel it, believe in it. Make your mental blue print, and begin to build.” –Robert Collier

When repeated often, an imprint will take place in the subconscious mind, attracting you to the people and events that match the images that are within. What is so good about the subconscious mind is that it cannot tell the difference between what is real and what is visualized.

Let’s read the benefits in action –A great illustration is an experiment by Dr. Blaslotto at the University of Chicago, on the skills of throwing a basketball. A group of students were tested throwing a basketball and their scores were recorded, before the students were split into three groups.

  1. The first group practiced throwing the basketball, for a period of time each day.

  2. The second group had no practice.

  3. The third group had a different type of practice where they had to imagine themselves throwing the ball and scoring, making mental images in their minds.

After a month each group was tested again. Findings?

The group who practiced every day improved by 25%. The 2nd group showed no improvements. The 3rd group who practiced only in their minds showed an equal improvement to the first group.

Time To Take Action

Step 1 – Create a picture in your mind of what you want, see yourself perfectly having, being or doing your desired goal. Try and be as detailed as possible, for example, think about what you are wearing, how you are feeling, people that may be around you, the sounds, colors and smells.

What do you See, Feel, Smell, Hear and Taste.

Tip: You can picture yourself sitting in a cinema watching your ideal life on a screen.

Step 2 – Now instead of watching yourself on the screen, take yourself into the movie scene and play your role in the movie, this will help to increase the impact of your experience. You are no longer watching but acting out your ideal role.

Tip: It is your movie so play your role just how you want it.

Step 3-  Practice visualizing your ideal life, or achieving your goal on a daily basis. Remember where your attention goes, energy flows. Visualization activates the law of attraction, your mind will go to work on attracting the resources, circumstances and people needed to achieve a goal.

Tip: You can spend 3-5 minutes each day carrying out your visualization.

Benefits Of This Tool
